The server is currently set so that you cannot take damage for two seconds after spawning and so you can't be killed, you can however cause damage to enemies in this time. How long do you think is the best time to not be able to cause damage to someone who has just spawned.

You want balance so 2 seconds not taking hits, 2 seconds at not dealing
